Furnished housing and individualized support for young adults who need a safe, stable place to live.

Available in

Bismarck | Fargo | Minot | Moorhead

For Young People

If you’re 18–24 and experiencing homelessness or don’t have a safe, stable place to stay, Transitional Housing may be an option. Youthworks offers furnished housing along with support as you work toward the life and housing you want next. Start by contacting Youthworks. We’ll talk with you about where you’re staying, what you need, and whether Transitional Housing fits your situation. There is an application and intake process, and you may have to wait for housing to open. That doesn’t mean you have to wait for support. Depending on your situation and what is available, Youthworks may also be able to help with Rapid Re-Housing, an emergency hotel stay, basic needs, or other housing resources. If you move into Transitional Housing, staff can support you with permanent housing, work or school, budgeting, transportation, life skills, counseling, health care, basic needs, and the goals that matter to you. Call, email, or message Youthworks to start the conversation about housing.

For Parents, Caregivers & Community Partners

Youthworks’ Transitional Housing program supports young adults ages 18–24 who are experiencing homelessness or do not have a safe, stable place to live. The program combines furnished housing with consistent, individualized support as youth work toward permanent housing and goals they identify for themselves. Eligibility is determined through an application and intake process, and housing is based on availability, so there may be a wait before a unit opens. Support can begin before a young person moves into Transitional Housing. Depending on circumstances, eligibility, funding, and availability, Youthworks’ broader housing response may also include Rapid Re-Housing, emergency hotel stays, basic needs, housing navigation, and connections to community resources. Youth can contact Youthworks directly, and parents, schools, providers, and other supportive adults can help make the connection. Call, email, or message Youthworks to begin the housing screening and intake process.
