Q

Human Trafficking Education

School and community education on trafficking, exploitation, healthy relationships, online safety, and where to get help.

Available in

Statewide

For Young People

Trafficking doesn’t always look like it does in movies. Youthworks provides education that helps young people understand what sex and labor trafficking can actually look like, how exploitation can develop, warning signs to pay attention to, and where to go for help. Education also explores healthy relationships, online safety, boundaries, and situations where someone may use money, housing, work, attention, substances, or other things to gain control over another person. The goal is to give youth practical information they can use to recognize concerning situations, look out for themselves and one another, and know where support is available. If you have questions after a presentation or something feels familiar, you can talk privately with a Youthworks staff member or call, email, or message Youthworks afterward.

For Parents, Caregivers & Community Partners

Youthworks provides human trafficking prevention and education in schools and communities across North Dakota. In 2025, the North Dakota Legislature passed SB 2330, establishing statewide human trafficking education requirements so youth across North Dakota have opportunities to learn how to recognize trafficking and exploitation and where to turn for help. Youthworks helps bring that goal into practice through education on sex and labor trafficking, exploitation, healthy relationships, online safety, warning signs, and how to respond when concerns arise. Education is designed to give youth practical knowledge while helping schools and communities build their ability to recognize and respond to exploitation. Schools and community organizations can call, email, or message Youthworks to ask about human trafficking education, presentations, or other training opportunities.
