Available in

Statewide | Ages 12–24

For Young People

If someone is pressuring, controlling, threatening, or using you for sex or work, or something about a situation or relationship doesn’t feel right, you can talk with Youthworks. You don’t have to decide whether what happened “counts” as trafficking before asking for support. Youthworks supports youth and young adults ages 12–24 across North Dakota who have experienced sex trafficking, labor trafficking, or exploitation. Support can include safety, housing, transportation, food and basic needs, counseling, health care, legal support, replacing documents, work or school, or help navigating other services and systems. You do not have to involve law enforcement to ask Youthworks for help, and we’ll start with what matters to you. Call, email, or message Youthworks to connect with a Human Trafficking Specialist.

For Parents, Caregivers & Community Partners

Youthworks provides statewide, individualized support for youth and young adults ages 12–24 impacted by sex trafficking, labor trafficking, or exploitation. A young person does not need to identify themselves as a victim or have law enforcement involvement before connecting with services. Support may include safety planning, housing, basic needs, transportation, counseling and emotional support, advocacy, employment and education support, identification documents, health care, legal resources, and coordination with other providers and systems. Youthworks also partners with multidisciplinary teams and organizations across North Dakota to make support easier to access and coordinate. Youth can contact Youthworks directly, and families, schools, law enforcement, child welfare, health care providers, and other community partners can make referrals or request consultation. Call, email, or message Youthworks to connect with the Human Trafficking team.
