For Young People

Anger is normal. But when anger and conflict are causing problems at home, at school, or in your relationships, Youthworks can help you and your family find ways to handle things differently. Anger Management helps families understand what sets off conflict, recognize what is happening before things get out of control, and practice better ways to communicate, solve problems, and respond to strong emotions. Because change is easier when everyone has tools to use, parents and caregivers are typically part of the process and learn alongside youth how family members can support one another. The goal isn’t to tell you not to be angry. It’s to help you and your family communicate better and have more choices about what happens when conflict comes up. Call, email, or message Youthworks to learn more about Anger Management.

For Parents, Caregivers & Community Partners

Youthworks’ Anger Management program helps youth and their families understand anger, strengthen communication, and develop practical ways to respond to conflict and strong emotions. Because family relationships can play an important role in both conflict and change, parents and caregivers typically participate alongside youth, building skills the whole family can use to communicate, solve problems, recognize triggers, and support one another. Services may include individual and family work as well as groups, depending on the needs of the family. Rather than treating anger itself as the problem, the program helps families understand what is happening underneath conflict and build healthier ways of responding together. Families can contact Youthworks directly, and schools, providers, and other community partners can help a family make the connection. Call, email, or message Youthworks for more information.
