Parenting Pathways

Housing and support for young adults who are pregnant or parenting and need a safe, stable place to live.

Available in

Bismarck | Moorhead

For Young People

Parenting Pathways combines housing with support for young adults who are pregnant or parenting and need a safe, stable place to live. Like Transitional Housing, the program gives you a furnished place to live and a Youthworks staff person in your corner while you work toward permanent housing and the goals you set for yourself, with additional support for parenting and the needs of your family. That could include parenting support, work or school, budgeting, transportation, food and other basic needs, life skills, health care, child care resources, and preparing for your next housing step. There is an application and intake process, and housing depends on availability, so there may be a wait before housing opens. Call, email, or message Youthworks to talk about your housing situation, what your family needs, and whether Parenting Pathways may be a fit.

For Parents, Caregivers & Community Partners

Parenting Pathways combines housing and individualized support for young adults who are pregnant or parenting and need a safe, stable place to live. The program offers the same foundation as Youthworks’ Transitional Housing program, including furnished housing, permanent housing planning, employment and education support, budgeting, transportation, basic needs, life skills, health care, and connections to community resources, with additional support centered on parenting and the needs of the young person’s family. Participation begins with an application and intake process, and housing is based on availability. Young parents can contact Youthworks directly, and schools, providers, family members, and other supportive adults can help make the connection. Call, email, or message Youthworks to discuss current needs, eligibility, and housing availability.
